Are you a morning person? I have to admit that I’m not. And with the cold weather, the kids have followed suit and just want to sleep in. But we have to get up, rush to school so big sis’ don’t get a yellow card for being tardy.
But no matter how crazy our mornings are and how much the kids want to avoid breakfast altogether, I make sure they are fed even if that means they eat their breakfast in the car. I pack all 3 of us some fruits, yogurt or string cheese and a pack of belVita Breakfast Biscuits made more fun with a puppet paper bag I designed. Check out my tutorial and free printable paper bag puppet below.
The kids will still eat their breakfast at home sometimes but since they can take forever, I made sure their breakfast are simple and ready for on the go in case we’re cutting it close to the school bell ringing. Coz’ seriously, trying to dress everyone, preparing big sis’ lunch, and getting the toddler to agree on being buckled into her carseat is a whole production that will make us really tardy.
The paper bag puppet printable idea was inspired by my daughter who wanted me to buy all these puppets (made of fabric) she saw on a catalogue.
She’s happy with the paper bag puppet I designed for now but wants me to make a hundred different styles when she saw me on the computer illustrating one. Watch out as I create a zoo of paper bag puppets. LOL!
They are eager to pack their own breakfast because of it and it’s a fun afternoon activity for the kids to cut and paste their own puppet paper bag.
The materials you’ll need to make this Paper Bag Puppet are:
1. Free Printable Paper Bag Puppet Illustration, printed on cardstock or bond paper.
2. Scissors
3. Glue
4. Paper Bag
Simply cut out the pig design from the free printable. Tape the face onto the bottom of the paper bag, the body onto the sleeve of the bag and you’re all set. The face of the pig will be on the bottom once you put the food in.

I pair belVita Breakfast Biscuits with a serving of low fat dairy and fruits for a balanced breakfast. I finished it off with a cup of joe and I’m ready to start blogging once we get home from school drop off.
