So, I promised our first grader we’d have a movie night every Tuesday (her short day at school) if she finishes her homework earlier rather than dragging it out for a week. Surprise!!! She finished a week’s worth homework in one sitting. Since she was able to fulfill her end of the bargain, I had to keep mine. So I decided to surprise her with a box of Monster High® goodies for a fun movie night!
When I brought out the box that Mattel sent me, she wasn’t expecting it at all. She’d actually forgotten about my promise and was doodling away on her notepad. So I got a really sweet smile from her when I handed her the box. It was a special, one-on-one moment, which I hardly get to have with her nowadays with our toddler taking up most of my time!
She was thrilled to see the Welcome To Monster High Dance the Fright Away™ Draculaura® Doll. Then came the “Welcome to Monster High – The Origins Story” DVD. It was perfect timing: just before her lil’ sis’ woke up from her late nap.
The girls played and watched the DVD that night, but the fun actually extended throughout the entire week! The girls had so much fun, that I decided to crank movie night up a notch. I went out and bought matching Monster High headbands, canisters for their popcorn, and some Monster High cupcakes for another round of movie night over the weekend.
We’ve seen a few of the Monster High shows but it’s only now that we got to see the new “Welcome to Monster High – The Origins Story.” It’s a must-see, and gave the girls and me the full grasp of the beginning mon-story of Monster High. The origins of some of its original ghouls are revealed along with the opening day of the iconic high school — complete with a monster party in the end.
You will see Dance the Fright Away Draculaura Doll in this DVD, including her photo props during their school’s monster party.
The Dance the Fright Away Draculaura Doll is not only a big hit for my girls, I like it a lot myself.
When I was growing up, my family owned a toy store, so I got to choose three new toys when a new toy shipment arrived. So now that I have 2 girls, I find perusing through the toy aisles with them a reminder of my childhood. And having seen a lot of toys in my life, I can honestly say the Dance the Fright Away Draculaura Doll is a must have. Any girl would love to have it. The details, the dress, the accessories, even Draculaura’s make-up is just to die for (pun intended!).
Make sure to buy the DVD and the doll, they go hand in hand as Draculaura comes out in the movie in this dress during their monster party. Together, it’s a great holiday gift or stocking stuffer. Or, if you can’t wait, just throw a movie night like we did.
Draculaura doll’s black lace dress with pink overskirt printed with shimmery bats, her fangtastic accessories of pink shoulder collar, black bat-inspired shoes, removable pink earrings and a black headpiece adorned with a spider web is exactly like how it is in the movie.
It also came with character-inspired masks that includes a dark blue spider web glasses, a light blue Skullette mask and a pink speech bubble. She’s so beautiful. Her arms, legs, wrist can be turned and twist as well.
Day 1 of unboxing, playing and seeing the movie ended with lots of dancing in the end.
If you’ve never seen any of the Monster High series, I can tell you that they each have a good lesson to teach, especially this Origins Story DVD. It speaks of friendship, acceptance, and being true to yourself.
Monster High® Welcome to Monster High is THE COOLEST girls and kids film with THE BEST holiday toys to gift girls 6-8.
