Las Vegas offers some of the best restaurants in the world. From restaurants owned by celebrity chefs to Michelin-starred restaurants. Just hotel hop on the strip and you can try a number of them. But whenever we visit Las Vegas, we eat like the locals and hit the streets of Chinatown and beyond. Some of the most amazing Las Vegas Restaurants can be found off the Strip. We’re not talking fine dining, bring out the china type of restaurants here. Just good food, good experience, Vegas fun all around.
5 OF OUR FAVORITE LAS VEGAS RESTAURANTS OFF THE STRIP:
You can’t go wrong with anything that you order from these Las Vegas Restaurants off the Strip but we have favorites that make us keep going back for more. The best part with these restaurants, dining is very unique – there’s food carts, a revolving belt with food to choose from, and a cooking show – it keeps the kids entertained while dining.
1. Magal BBQ Las Vegas
4240 Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89102
Korean BBQ that grills on your table but here – the server cooks it for you so you can concentrate on the eating. Their meat is of high quality and I love the banchan they offer. If you’ve never tried a Korean BBQ place, check out our visit to Magal BBQ where we may have overeaten last time (more like every time).
Favorite Dishes: Kalbi and Volcano Rice
Tip: Come early at night on the weekends as there’s a line to get seated.
2. Firefly Tapas Kitchen & Bar Las Vegas
3824 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119
This tapas place in Las Vegas is so famous that they have extended their restaurant then eventually made another location on the same street just to accommodate more people. They also have another location that is further off the strip but I prefer the on Paradise. Check some of the stuff we ate at Firefly Tapas Vegas.
Favorite Dishes: Stuffed Dates, white Sangria, and tres leches.
Tip: Try to visit during lunchtime to avoid the party crowd at night.
3. Hong Kong Garden Seafood & Dimsum Cafe
5300 Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89146
We used to frequent Ping Pang Pong in Las Vegas coz they have a wide array of dim sum available but they underwent renovation and it doesn’t seem to be that good anymore. We checked out Hong Kong Garden & I discovered they have the best Salted Egg Bun. When you see this on their dim sum carts, make sure it has a filling, coz there’s another bun like it that has no filling inside.
Favorite Dish: Salted Egg Bun
Tip: Dim sums are typically available during brunch/lunchtime only, so come here right when they open.
4. Sapporo Revolving Sushi Las Vegas
4671 Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89102
One of the kids’ favorite restaurant coz’ they love the revolving belt where the sushi goes around. We usually would grab like 15 sushi plates. You can also order other Japanese dishes that comes delivered not by a server but more like a bullet tray on top of the revolving belt. Visit the place so you’ll know what I mean.
Favorite Dishes: Shrimp Taco and Salmon Taco
5. Cafe 86 Las Vegas
5697 S Jones Blvd #140, Las Vegas, NV 89118. Also has California locations in Chino Hills, Artesia, & Pasadena.
Everything ube can be found here. Ube is a root crop and it’s delicious as a dessert. When you visit Cafe 86, you can get ube in a drink form or a dessert. From ube cheesecake to ube smoothie. They are known for the ube leche flan but I favored the ube butter bar more. Do check the place out. There’s like 10 kinds of ube desserts available.
Favorite Dishes: Halo-Halo Slush & Ube Butter Bar
If you want to have a buffet on the strip though, our favorite is Bacchanal Buffet – their dishes are really flavorful.
