Panna Cotta Recipe: Easy to Make Dessert Recipe

If you’re looking for easy to make dessert or desserts for Valentine’s, add my Panna Cotta recipe to that list. It’s a really yummy dessert recipe. Top it with any fruit that is in season and it will look like a dessert from a hotel buffet.

This Panna Cotta is also a perfect potluck recipe or for birthdays or you can add it to your tea party food ideas. I’ve served it numerous times and my guests really love them. I save 2-3 in the fridge for myself for that after party, once everyone is gone, haha. Try it, I promise you’re gonna love it.

Ingredients for Panna Cotta:

1/3 cup nonfat milk
1(.25ounce) envelope unflavored gelatin
2 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 tsps vanilla extract

How to Make Panna Cotta:

Pour milk into a bowl and stir gelatin powder in. Then set aside.

Pour heavy cream and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a full boil over medium heat. Stir every now and then, and watch as the cream might boil over the top.

Pour gelatin and milk mixture into the pot and cook for one minute, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat then stir in vanilla extract.

You may use ramekins and this recipe yields 6. Or as I usually serve it.. use disposable champagne glass and it yields 12.

If you’re using those disposable flutes. Insert an apple or a blueberry in the middle to avoid getting the panna cotta in the middle of the flute, or if that’s too much work, just leave it be. Then pour the cooked mixture and let it cool.

Once cooled, cover with a cling wrap and place in the fridge. This should set in 4.5 hours, but better if overnight. You may top it with strawberries or blueberries. Then enjoy it before the guests arrive, haha. Just don’t finish it all.

  1. I will have to try this with my 6-year-old. He loves to watch cooking shows and help in the kitchen. We made creme brulee together, and it was a hit!
