About the Show
In this interactive musical stage show, Dora sets sail for Treasure Island with her best buddy, Boots the Monkey, her cousin Diego and all the rest of her friends. With help from the audience, they navigate over Dancing Mountain and through Silly Singing Bridge to confront the notorious Pirate Piggies before finding the treasure. All ends happily onstage with a “yo-ho-ho!”
About Dora the Explorer
Dora the Explorer is a seven year-old Latina heroine whose adventures take place in an imaginative, tropical world filled with jungles, beaches and rainforests. Dora explores her world just as pre-schoolers do every day. Throughout each adventure, Dora also teaches simple Spanish words, and sings songs. Both the television and stage shows are designed to engage children to communicate, solve puzzles and discover a diverse and exciting world, while having fun.
“Dora the Explorer” premiered on Nickelodeon in 2000 and instantly ranked as the number one preschool show on commercial television – a position that it has held for 13 years. More than 100 million people watch the show every year, and it is broadcast all over the world. The program has been honored with every award possible, including the Peabody, Parent’s Choice Award and 16 Daytime Emmy awards.
