I thought I knew what to write after that yummy lunch at Stonefire Grill but part of me wants to just grab my to go box of Tomesto and eat it instead. Tomesto? Yes tomesto, a pasta dish of tomato and pesto that I don’t mind driving to Lakewood for since we don’t have a Stonefire Grill location in the South Bay yet.
If you’ve never been to Stonefire Grill, they have 8 locations in SoCal with the Lakewood branch being its latest addition. They are a fast casual restaurant where you get to order your food before seating down. What other yummy goodness did we indulged in? Check all the pictures and all the info you need to know before visiting this family friendly restaurant in LA.
We visited the Lakewood location for our Stonefire Grill review. A must when you visit is to order their Stonefire’s Favorite Pizza or what I simply call the avocado pizza so you don’t forget. It’s topped with avocado and feta cheese and pesto, it was really good, I highly recommend getting it. Pictured below is a 9″ pizza and we can’t even finish it. Stonefire Grill is generous with its portion and is meant to shared.
The Stonefire Grill menu is extensive. They have meats from the grill, pizza, sandwiches, salads, pasta and desserts. They also have a vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and a low carb menu. There’s something for everyone.
I suggest going through the Stonefire Grill menu before going. You can even order online and pick it up for to go, they have a counter dedicated to all to go orders.
Price wise it’s really inexpensive to dine at Stonefire Grill. You can even go as a group and order the crowd pleasers (for 20 people) which will come down to only $9 per person.
I already asked if we can book a birthday party for the kids since they have a huge separate dining area but they don’t take reservations since they do get pack. You just have to get there early like the group of 80 who eats there every Saturday for lunch. Crazy!!!! Maybe I can take the fambam on my birthday instead (ugh getting older again next month, I’m sccarrrrreeed).
You might wanna visit Stonefire Grill during lunch on weekdays as well, they offer a 7 for $7 lunch menu. One of them is a petite pesto pasta with breadsticks for only $7. That’s a really good deal.
Getting back to what we ate. We also enjoyed a platter combination of tri-tip and baby back ribs. I’m getting even more fuller just talking about it. It came with breadsticks and you can choose a side. I wanted to see if the cauliflower salad would work well, but it’s not my favorite. Next time, I’d get the garlic mashed potato instead.
The kids ordered from the kids menu and enjoyed their macaroni & cheese as well as the pepperoni pizza. The toddler ate for a long time that I got to try everything we ordered including the desserts. I call that a successful lunch, even big sister who eats so little ate a lot.
Our dessert included a blueberry cheesecake, carrot cake which the hubby said was the best carrot cake he has tried while the Sandy’s cookie was my fave. I wish to see maybe an ice cream option added next time. The carrot cake below is just half of the size of what they actually serve.
Will I visit Stonefire Grill again? Yes!
