Street Food Cinema rolls onto the lawn next to Pasadena’s Rose Bowl for Family Night. Arrive early to purchase your dinner from a variety of food trucks while listening to a live band. Then, at sundown, settle in for an outdoor screening of the iconic 1990 film Edward Scissorhands, director Tim Burton’s wondrous modern fairy tale. Arguably his most heartbreaking and inventive film, it stars Johnny Depp as a synthetic boy with sharp blades where his fingers should be, courtesy of his eccentric inventor father (played by Vincent Price in his final film role). Winona Ryder, Dianne Wiest and Alan Arkin play suburbanites who fall under Edward’s spell in this utterly original Burton creation.
Film length is one hour, 40 minutes.
Film rating: PG-13
