Taro Smoothie Recipe: How to Make Homemade Taro Smoothie

Taro Smoothie Recipe! It’s so easy to make and with only a few ingredients, you’ll never go back to a boba place again. Some call it taro slush, taro boba (if you put boba on it) or taro bubble tea or taro milk tea if it is in liquid form versus being a shake. Our kids call it purple juice. Here’s how to make a taro smoothie from home.

When the summer started, we’d be at our nearby Vietnamese restaurant to buy taro smoothie at 4 bucks each plus tax. That’s a lot of money even on one trip alone. Imagine us being there almost weekly so I finally bought taro powder and made them at home and it tasted exactly the same as the $4 one. If you want taro boba, that’s not a problem as well. All can be made at home. Check out how to make homemade taro smoothie below.

How to Make Taro Smoothie:

If you want your taro smoothie recipe with boba, cook the boba per package instructions then put on the bottom of your cup. Don’t forget to buy your fat straw if you’re using boba.

To create the taro smoothie – Put Ice, Milk, Taro Powder and Condensed Milk in a Blender. Blend until smooth, about 20-30 seconds. Pour onto a tall glass or a tall plastic clear cup.I used an Oster Blender and so far it’s still working even if I use thick ice to make this taro smoothie recipe. If you want more flavor, just add a little bit more powder.
