The new Disney Store at Del Amo Mall in Torrance finally opened last week. We were there during its grand opening and we’ve been back multiple times since.
The new Disney store is now located where the old food court was. It was one of the many stores that closed down to make way for a better.. more high-end looking Del Amo Fashion Center. If you grew up shopping or hanging out at this mall, I’m sure you’re amazed at all the changes happening right now.
Avid Disney Store fans – young and the young at heart – were there ready to strip the store clean with whatever they wanted to purchase even before the store opened. I thought people only queue up during the Black Friday sale, not in this case.
I, on the other hand, only wanted to get two things but ended going home buying lots of stuff. Who can say no to Olaf and all the Frozen items from backpacks to toys? I even went back the other day to buy more stuff for our Minnie Mouse themed birthday for our daughter.
The Disney Store grand opening kicked off with Mickey & Minnie helping a girl open the lock with a very huge key. My daughter immediately runs to the Disney Princess Castle once we were all let in and asked me to take a picture of her then pulled me to sit at the Disney Store Theatre so she can crayon and watch a movie. It’s really a fun store for the kids.

All Disney Stores are having Summer Play Days where kids 3 and up can enjoy the art of animation, trivia, storytime, and showtime plus you can bring home a FREE button.
