L.A. ZOO TICKET PRICES 2024 (REGULAR PRICE):

L.A. Zoo tickets can be purchased online via the zoo’s website. Advance online reservations are strongly recommended for entry for general admission guests while member reservations are not required at this time. Walk-up ticket sales are not recommended or guaranteed. Reserved tickets will be sent to the email address you provide. These tickets will be scanned from your mobile device or a printout at the entrance.

  • LA Zoo tickets cost $22 for adults, $19 for seniors (62+), $17 for kids 2 – 12, and free for kids under 2.
  • LA Zoo Membership starts at $60 for individual membership, $90 for Individual Plys, $150 for a family membership, and $190 for a family deluxe membership.

L.A. ZOO DISCOUNT TICKETS 2024:

1. L.A. Zoo Membership Discount – 10% Off

You can save 10% on any L.A. Zoo Membership when you use Los Angeles Zoo coupon code 12408MAM when purchasing through their website. Offer ends on August 31, 2024. New members only. Coupon code cannot be combined with any other offer. Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Your Los Angeles Zoo membership pays for itself in as few as two visits per year! What’s more, members enjoy perks like a 10% discount at Zoo gift shops and restaurants as well as free or discounted admission to more than 170 zoos and aquariums—including 15 in California.


2. L.A. Zoo Groupon Discount

LA Zoo Lights Discount Tickets – Flash Sale – To attend the L.A. Zoo Lights Holiday event on select nights between November 15 to January 5, take advantage of the FLASH SALE from Groupon. Tickets are only $10 to $20 per child ticket and $19 to $32 per adult ticket.

Groupon also offers discounted 1-Day tickets and membership discounts (daytime visit). They are not available right now (as of 3/18/24 update) but check Groupon as it may become available anytime soon. Below are the 2023 discount prices:

1-Day Tickets – Discount LA Zoo Tickets are available for $14.50 for child admission and $17.50 for adult admission using LA Zoo Groupon discount. If the price goes up to the regular price, try to time your purchase when Groupon is offering a coupon code to lower the price.

Membership – Take advantage of the LA Zoo Annual Pass Discount and save up to 16% off L.A. Zoo memberships. Individual Plus LA Zoo Annual Pass is only $80 versus $90, LA Zoo Family Annual Pass is only $130 versus $150, and LA Zoo Family Deluxe Annual Pass is only $160 versus $190.


3. L.A. Zoo + Top L.A. Attractions All-Inclusive Pass: up to 45% off

Another way to save on L.A. Zoo tickets is to purchase a Go City Los Angeles All Inclusive-Pass to visit Los Angeles Zoo and other major L.A. attractions for one flat discounted price.

A Go City Los Angeles All-Inclusive Pass allows you to visit over 35 L.A. attractions using a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7-day pass. You don’t need to keep buying separate tickets and you can access your digital pass through your phone. Choose how many days you want your pass to be valid for, and then visit as many attractions as you wish. We used Go City passes on our previous trip to Orlando, Florida, and it was very convenient to use.

4. L.A. Zoo Military Discount

LA Zoo Military Discount is $3 off a regular adult admission ticket and $2 off a regular child admission ticket (ages 2-12). They are available to active and retired U.S. military personnel and their immediate family (spouses and children).

Military discount tickets to L.A. Zoo are only available at the zoo’s box office. You must present a valid military ID at the time of ticket purchase. Discounts cannot be combined with any other offers.


5. L.A. Zoo Reciprocal Discount

If you have an annual membership to another zoo or aquarium, you may be qualified to avail of the LA Zoo reciprocal discount. Check the L.A. Zoo Reciprocal List and see if you qualify for a reciprocal discount. Photo ID and a valid membership card from the reciprocal institution are required. Reciprocal discounts are only available at the Zoo’s box office.


6. FREE L.A. Zoo Tickets

L.A. residents who are L.A. Public Library cardholders can go to the Discover & Go website to reserve a pass that is good for free L.A. Zoo admission for up to four people. Enter your library card number and a PIN in order to log in and reserve your pass.

To receive your free L.A. Zoo tickets for being an L.A. library cardholder, bring the pass to the zoo’s admission window. Please note that there is only one pass available per L.A. City Council district per day.

FREE LA Zoo tickets with library card are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are non-transferrable.

No, at this time, the Los Angeles Zoo is not offering discounts for EBT cardholders.

Is there an L.A. Zoo teacher discount?

No, at this time, there are no L.A. Zoo teacher discounts available. Check the L.A. Zoo ticket deals above for currently available deals.

Can I buy L.A. Zoo tickets at the gate?

Walk-up ticket sales are not recommended or guaranteed at Los Angeles Zoo.

Does L.A. Zoo require a reservation?

Advance online reservations to L.A. Zoo are required for entry for general admission guests. Annual Membership holders are not required to reserve at this time but always check the L.A. Zoo wesbite for updates on this.

Is the L.A. Zoo free with a library card?

Yes! L.A. Zoo is free with a Los Angeles Public Library card. Check ticket deal #6 above for more info.

Are kids free at the LA Zoo?

Kids 23 months and below can visit Los Angeles Zoo for free.

Are there L.A. Zoo tickets at Costco?

There are no L.A. Zoo tickets available at Costco, either at regular price or discounted. You may want to check your local Costco to confirm but we’ve never encountered them yet.

Are there L.A. Zoo AAA discount tickets?

AAA sells discount tickets to attractions to its AutoClub members but we have checked and they do not sell L.A. Zoo AAA discount tickets.

  • Giraffe Feeding – $5 (cash only) at the giraffe exhibit during feeding time.

Parking is free at LA Zoo. On select days throughout the year, the L.A. Zoo offers a Preferred Parking Program for a nominal fee, payable on-site (cash only).

The Preferred Parking Program operates on busy, peak attendance days including most holiday weekends and special events. On these days, limited free parking is available in designated areas.


LA Zoo Hours

LA Zoo is open from 10 AM to 5 PM daily but closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Please note that the Zoo starts putting animals in for the night at 4 p.m. Ticket sales (at the gate) cease one hour prior to closing time. Some LA Zoo events do happen at night time like LA Zoo Lights and LA Zoo Roaring Nights.

The 133-acre zoo is home to 1,100 animals representing 250 species. On top of viewing the animals, you can enjoy animal feedings, daily shows like the World of Birds show & activities, learn about wildlife conservation, and behind the scene tours.


Know Before You Go

  • LA Zoo Map is available at the admission area at the entrance of the zoo or you can also download the map online.
  • Standard and electric (scooter) wheelchairs are available inside the Zoo at the International Marketplace.
  • Guests are allowed to bring food into LA Zoo during normal park hours. Picnic areas are scattered throughout on a first-come, first-served basis. Aluminum cans, glassware or any other breakable materials and any small plastics items such as straws and cup lids are not allowed. Coolers and picnic baskets are welcome at the Zoo during normal hours, but the Zoo does not have storage lockers available for rent. During special nighttime events, outside food and drink may not be permitted.
