The kids rode a dinosaur, rowed a boat, toured the mall on a train and a motorized animal, they rolled on an inflatable, jump on over a dozen jumpers, and I almost went on yoga session while the kids met new friends in a ball pit. All these activities and more are available at South Bay Galleria in Redondo Beach. Check all the Fun Things to do in South Bay Galleria with Kids below and make this 3-storey mall your home for shopping, dining, and family fun activities. We’re also extending the fun with a $100 Gift Card Giveaway, join below.

FUN THINGS TO DO IN SOUTH BAY GALLERIA WITH KIDS:
WONDER OF DINOSAURS
Pictures won’t be able to tell you how big Wonder of Dinosaurs is and how much activities are in this place. The kids tried like 10 types of jumpers, went through a maze 3 times, saw over 100 dinosaurs on display, and rode a dinosaur. And as if that’s not enough, you can also pan for gold, play an 18 hole miniature golf, ride a mechanical bull (I mean dinosaur) and more.
The place is packed with dinosaurs – some are moving, some are not but they are looking at you, haha, kidding. Seriously though, you should take your kids here. It’s a lot of fun for $18 (kids) and $10 (adults) on the weekends and comes with a goodie bag too. You can re-enter with your wristband so grab some lunch or snack in between then come back. You can also throw a party here and I like the part that it’s not crowded as kids are space out due to the number of activities available on-site.
CHUGGY CHUGG EXPRESS
Go for a loop around the second floor of the South Bay Galleria via the Chuggy Chugg Express. Ticket to ride the train is $3 per person. Even parents can join the fun, 4 of us fit the back railcar. For an additional fee, you can also get the kids a train whistle and a hat. A frequent rider card is also available for $20 for 10 rides.
ROLL N’ FUN
Roll on a floating inflatable, row a boat, or skate inside the mall at Roll N’ Fun. I honestly wanted to go on the boat ride. The girls rolled on the huge inflatable as it floated on water. We didn’t do the ice skating anymore but I look forward to throwing the girls’ birthday party here this coming summer so their cousins can try it with them. You can do all these activities with a full day pass of only $20 or go a la carte if you merely wanted to do 1 activity or 2.
WILDLIFE ADVENTURES
Ride a motorized animal of your choice and go around the mall at your heart’s content. This is located on the ground floor just behind the Guest Services. This was my eldest’s favorite activity from everything we did at South Bay Galleria coz’s she was able to go pretty fast. Well, faster than I can walk to tail her behind. Her sister rode with the hubby and followed her around which enabled me to rest after 2 rounds with her around the mall. A 5 minute ride is for $5, 10 minute $10, $15 for 20 minutes, and $20 for 30 minutes. They rode for 10 minutes and it was just right.
Z-BINI KIDZ
Moms can stretch, kids can play! Z-bini Kidz offers a play area and various classes for kids but every Wednesday – moms can take a yoga class while the kids are being supervised at the play area just outside. Just what I needed as I don’t really like the play area at any of the gyms around. The play area here is very clean and we can do more things at the mall after the yoga session. And on days where you merely want a play area for your toddler as you lounge around to supervise, the fee is only $5.
AMC THEATRES
Enjoy a movie theatre and restaurant rolled into one with AMC Dine-In Theatres at AMC South Bay Galleria! Reserve your seat at any of their 16 theatres with reserved seating, recliners and enjoy a hand-crafted menu item and a drink from MacGuffins Bar.
KIDS CLUB
Galleria Kids Club is a free club just for kids with monthly entertainment, special discounts and more. Kids Club events are held every first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Food Court (Level 3). To join, simply visit the Guest Services (Level 1, near North Wing), at the event or online. My girls were able to partake in a lot of the Kids Club activities when they were toddlers during playdates with the MOMS Club and it was a lot of fun and was very memorable.
Have you visited South Bay Galleria lately or have not visited yet? Check out the complete listing of stores, restaurants, and upcoming events at South Bay Galleria and plan a visit soon!
Should you need a stroller while at the mall, check one out for only $5 at the Guest Services located on the ground floor.

Wow! I didn’t know anything about this place until now! Definitely a kids haven! Should we ever venture that way we are definitely checking this out! Thanks for all the info!
Oh wow, that is one big mall packed with a lot of fun! I can absolutely see the kids enjoying their time there. You bet that if I were there with my nieces, I’ll be taking them to that place. It looks so much fun (even for me!)
This place is amazing – a one stop-shop for entertainment for this kids!! I particularly love the idea of the mini yoga session!
I miss my kids being little. We have so many wonderful memories going to the mall as vs them playing. Now the AMC is our best bet. They are movie watchers! I appreciate articles like this. We are always looking for new things to do.
I have never been to this mall but it looks ginormous! With 3 floors, I can see you needing a whole day to venture through and shop at all the stores. The dinosaurs would be one heck of an experience, there is so much to do!
Roll N’ Fun looks especially awesome! I have never seen a place like that at all let alone in a mall! I would love to visit the Galleria!
That mall looks amazing!! There are so many amazing things to do with the kids. I have never heard of this mall before but I would love to take my kids to it! They would get so excited for the water sports and the dinosaurs.
Wow, this mall has tons of stuff to do besides just shop! I honestly want to visit the dinosaur place myself. Riding a mechanical dinosaur sounds like the perfect birthday party activity for me! haha
