If you’re looking for a hotel near Disneyland or hotels across Disneyland, I would recommend Marriott Fairfield Anaheim.
The hotel is a short walk to the entrance of Disneyland where you can go back midday for a nap or a dip in the pool. That’s where we stayed recently during our 2-day trip to Disneyland & Disney California Adventure, and it made the trip more fun and relaxing.

Marriott Fairfield was actually recommended by a good friend of mine. It’s one of the hotels right across Disneyland, located on Harbor Blvd. We were happy with our stay there. It’s clean, the staff were all very friendly, and the rooms were decorated in Disney theme.

The most important part is that it’s not as expensive as any of the Disney Resort Hotels, yet it’s a hotel within walking distance to Disneyland. Here’s the cross street looking towards all the hotels across Disneyland.

We arrived early Monday morning for our 1-night stay at Marriott Fairfield so we can get into Disneyland before the line at the rides gets any long.
You are allowed to park at the hotel early, even if check-in time is not until 4 PM. Parking is $13 a day.
We figured maybe we could check in already, and luckily, they already have a room available at 9 AM and were kind enough to let us check in that early.

Because we got to check in early into our hotel room. We got to bring up our luggage and re-check if we got everything set on our double stroller, apply sunblock, etc.
Since we no longer needed to wait until just before 4 PM to check in, we were able to go back to the hotel at 1 PM for a nap.

Here’s a recap of what we did to help you on your future visit to Marriott Fairfield or to any of the nearby hotels across Disneyland:
So for the first day (Monday), we check in at 9 AM. The walk to Disneyland was a short 10 minutes from the hotel. The hotel is so close to the Disneyland entrance on Harbor Blvd., you won’t even feel it’s 10 minutes, you’d think it is shorter. We went back to our hotel room at 1 PM for a nap. You can also use the pool or the jacuzzi but we didn’t. Maybe if we were booked more days, I’d use the pool on the second day.

Disneyland parade times were 4 and 630 PM, so we walked back by 5 PM to see the 630 PM parade. The hubby got the best location to see the Disneyland Parade, which was at one of the benches just below the train station.
While he waited there, I took our girls for pictures with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Goofy. They are at the circle before Main st. for photo ops before the parade starts.
We went back to our hotel at 915 PM after some more rides. The kids had a long day and were ready to knock out. Since we were fortunate enough to be given a room on the topmost floor of Marriott Fairfield, we had a really good view to watch the Disney fireworks from our hotel room.
I would still recommend watching the Disney fireworks from the theme park itself, but if you can’t, the hotel is your next best bet. Everyone was actually on the hotel balcony watching too!

Our second day (Tuesday) was spent at Disney California Adventure. We left our hotel at 715 AM just to make sure we get to ride Radiator Springs without the 2-hour wait in the lines, read all about that here.
We requested for a checkout time of 1 PM instead of their 12 PM so that we could go back to the hotel to squeeze in an early nap at 1130 AM. It gave us the energy boost needed to last until nighttime at Disney California Adventure.

Marriott Fairfield Review:
Beyond the great location and proximity of Marriott Fairfield to Disneyland, our experience at Marriott Fairfield was very pleasant and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly, there’s always someone greeting you right when you get in.
Our room was clean and decorated in a Princess theme from the wallpaper border, sheets, picture frames, and shower curtain.
The bed was comfortable, and the pillow was the best, I wanted to take it home. There is an arcade room and a Pizza Hut located on the third floor, but we weren’t able to eat there.
We did dine at Pizza Press, located nearby, their custom-made pizza were really good.
Getting back to the hotel, we had a great stay that, if we ever go back to Disneyland for a two-day trip or more, we’d love to stay there again.
