Disney World Value Resort: Disney’s All Star Sports Resort

How much does it cost to stay at a Disney World Resort? It varies depending on the tier level as Disney World offers Value Resorts, Moderate Resorts, and Deluxe Resorts. There are 4 Disney World Theme Parks in Orlando so the cost of visiting Disney World can add up. From flights, theme park tickets, food, and Disney merchandise. For those visiting Disney World on a  budget, consider staying at a Disney World Value Hotel like Disney World All-Star Sports Resort. Check out our stay and all the Disney All-Star Sports Resort Pictures, Amenities, Dining Options, Pools, Transportation service to Disney World theme parks, etc.

Our 2 Week Orlando Itinerary comprised of various hotel stays starting with a 5-night stay a Disney World All-Star Sports Resort – one of the Disney World Value Resorts. After Disney World, we moved to Aloft Hotels in Downtown Orlando followed by other Florida hotels during our over 2-week vacation in Florida. Check out my All-Star Sports Resort Review, room pictures, learn about Disney World Value Resort Amenities, info on Disney World Hotel Transportation to Parks, breakfast, laundry, pool info, etc. below.

Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort is one of the five resorts that are included in the Disney World Value Hotels, along with Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

If you have a bigger budget or wish to have better amenities at your Disney World Resort, check the Disney World Hotels List to see hotels in different categories: Moderate Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, and Deluxe Villas.

Tip for booking a Disney World Resort? The sooner you book your Disney World Resort, the better. Not only for getting better rates and room availability but also for reserving Disney World Fastpass+ tickets. When we booked our stay it was already about $123 a night. Still really cheap while enjoying the Benefits of Staying at a Disney World Resort.

Disney World All-Star Sports Resort Review:

Our Disney World All-Star Sports room was on the small side but good enough for what we paid for and especially since we still have really young kids and we were mostly at the theme park.

The room door is just a few feet away from our bed but I didn’t feel like it was unsafe, to the contrary, our Disney World Value Resort actually felt quite safe. Outside our room is a balcony hallway facing lots of trees. It was beautiful. There are 10 buildings facing various rooms, so your view and location will vary. Our room was very quiet and we hardly heard any resort guest walking by in spite of being at Disney World during the holidays when it was most busy.

Our Disney World All-Star Sports Resort had 2 double beds, 1 nite table, a round table with 2 chairs, and the TV cabinet inside the room. The bathroom (with the toilet and shower/tub) was really tight. You may have to get in, stay in the corner before you can close the door. The sink is outside the bathroom with an open closet and is separated from the room by a curtain. There’s enough space for 4 carry-on items of luggage in the room and enough room for the kids to roam around and play.

I felt like the room needed a makeover to make it less gloomy especially the dark green carpet but I they have maintained this Disney Resort well and our room was pretty clean.

Our room, though located on the second floor, was steps away from the parking lot which was great because we brought a car to Disney World.

The lack of square footage in the room though was a big contrast to Disney World All-Star Sports amenities. There are 2 pools and lots of open spaces. I also liked the fact that there was a laundry room. Since we stayed in Orlando for over 2 weeks, I did my laundry here during one of the afternoons when the kids were taking a nap.

Disney All-Star Sports Resort is located near Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort Area. It may take you time to get to the other theme parks.

Disney World All Star Sports Resort Rooms:

You can choose from a Standard Room or a Preferred Room:
  • A Preferred Room is a room in buildings 1, 6, 7, or 10 that is close to the Stadium Hall Lobby and End Zone Food Court. Rates start at $120/night plus tax.
  • Standard Rooms are found in All Star Sports buildings 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9. Rates start at $99/night plux tax.

Disney World Magic Bands as Resort Key:

Note that you don’t need to go to the front desk once your Magic Bands have been mailed to you. Before you arrive in Orlando, you will get an e-mail with your resort room number, building number, and a map of your Disney World Value Resort so you can go directly to your room without the need to line up at the front desk. Just use your magic bands to enter your room. How cool is that!

Disney World All Star Sports Breakfast

Breakfast at your Disney World Value hotel is located at a food court just steps away from the front desk. Next to the front desk is a Disney store while just outside the front desk is the bus waiting area that will take you to various theme parks.

There are a lot of food choices at the Disney World All Star Sports End Zone Food Court but it is not included in your really inexpensive Disney World resort booking. The breakfast is not buffet style, you choose what you want or grab everything you wanted before paying at the cashier. There’s a made to order area and grab and go options.

The End Zone Food Court is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner starting at 6 AM to 12 AM.

On one of the mornings, I went to the food court at Disney World All Star Music Resort which was next to All-Star Sports. It’s the same layout but they just have a different interior theme. The food somewhat looked different, so I would suggest changing it up between different food courts if you’re staying multiple nights.

Disney World All Star Sports Resort Dining options are End Zone Food Court for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Disney Resorts Pizza Delivery for dinner and late-night dining, and Grandstand Spirits Pool Bar for Bar Service.

Disney World All Star Sports Resort Pool Hours

There are 2 pools at the Disney World All-Star Sports Resort. Surfboard Bay Pool and Grand Slam Pool. Hours and lifeguard availability vary by pool and are subject to change. We didn’t have enough time to hit the pools.

Disney World Resort Transportation to Parks:

One of the benefits of staying at a Disney World Resort is the free bus transportation from the airport to the Disney Resort Hotel (Disney’s Magical Express) of your choice and the free bus transportation from your Disney Hotel to the Disney World Theme Parks, whether you choose a Disney World Value Resort or a Disney World Deluxe Resort.

There are various bus lines next to each other just outside the All Star Sports Resort front desk. The lines are marked by signs to different theme parks. There’s a monitor outside the building to tell you how many more minutes before your bus arrives. The free Disney World Shuttle can also take you to the Disney World Water Parks.

Though we brought a car to Disney World after arriving at Orlando Airport from California. We still rode the free Disney shuttle to the theme parks every day with 2 umbrella strollers.

Does Disney All Star Sports Resort have a microwave?

Microwaves and coffee makers are not available in each resort room. However, you can always use the microwave located at the End Zone Food Court! On one of the nights, we dined outside of the resort and ended up with so much food so we took it back to eat the next day so I ended up using the microwave.

4-DAY PARK HOPPER PLUS TICKETS

Hop from one theme park to another for 4 days plus get 4 days to play at the 2 water parks, golf courses, and ESPN Sports Complex.

Park Hopper is ideal for those who wish to take advantage of Disney’s Extra Magic Hours program. Every day, one theme park is open for an extended time either in the morning or evening. Park hopper ticket holders visit one park during the day and switch to another late in the day to take advantage of the less crowded “extra” hours.

I do not recommend the “Park Hopper” ticket to families traveling with young kids as it would be more work going from one theme park to another but the “Park Hopper Plus” will work as it is bundled with the water parks and the other fun activities.

Park Hopper “Plus” not only lets you go from one park to another, but the number of days you purchase gives you extra days to play at the golf course, the 2 water parks, and the ESPN Sports Complex.

Here’s a price comparison for March 2, 2019:

Disney World Ticket Price:

  • $530.80 per adult
  • $512.91 per child

  • $519 per adult ($11.80 savings), check HERE
