“Elmo! Elmo! Elmo!”, the lil one wouldn’t stop pointing at Elmo when we arrived at Nokia Theatre Live where Sesame Street Live was playing as part of their national tour. Our eldest has probably seen all the shows there is to see but never gets tired of watching them. The little one on the other hand has just started. She has a different temperament so we’re not sure whether she’ll sit still on a show. We took them to see Sesame Street Live last weekend because she actually loves Elmo.
The lil’ one started dancing right from the start. The eldest was shy at first but after 4 songs, she was up on her feet and dancing without a care in the world and the hubby and I just look at it each other like.. what.. in.. the.. world.. happened. LOL.
This particular Sesame Street Live show is really geared towards dancing having the “Let’s Dance” theme. We’ve seen both Sesame Street Live Can’t Stop Dancing and Sesame Street Live Make a New Friend show before and each show is different.
I love that this show featured nursery rhymes like Itsy Bitsy Spider that the little one know very well.
My favorite part of the show was the Robot dancers dancing to Mr. Roboto with their glowing costume. Elmo uses his imagination to “Do the Robot,” Cookie Monster teaches all ‘feets’ to dance, and Ernie shares the fun of dance with the Sesame Street favorite “Shake Your Head One Time.” The characters even went down from the stage to dance with the crowd multiple times.
The kids had a great time and were knock out during the drive home. Us parents savored the moment watching the kids enjoy the show.
