Legoland Discovery Center Arizona

We got a chance to visit Legoland Discovery Center while visiting Phoenix, Arizona. They have a few locations in the US and in other countries but I guess we’ll never have one close to Los Angeles because we have Legoland in Carlsbad. I believe they should though coz’ it’s a totally different concept.

If you’re looking for fun things to do in Arizona or happen to be in Phoenix and want to take the kids somewhere fun, Legoland Discovery Center is just a few minutes drive from Downtown Phoenix. It’s located at a mall in Tempe, just side by side with Sea Life Aquarium, so you can hit both places in one trip.

We didn’t know what to expect when we got to Legoland Discovery Center Arizona so let me guide you on the things you can do when visiting.

After you enter through the giant Lego man cut out, you get to take photos then you’ll be asked to wait a few minutes as you’ll be entering together with other families to participate in an interactive virtual Lego Factory Tour.

After that, you can pretty much roam at Legoland Discovery Center at your own pace. We first went to the Kingdom Quest Laser Ride. You get to use a laser gun and score points at this ride.

Another ride at Legoland Discovery Center Arizona is the Merlin’s Apprentice Ride. The ride goes around and it can rise up if you pedal. Our 3 yr old was able to meet the height requirement to ride but she couldn’t reach the pedal. No worries, mommy did all the pedaling. The kids loved it and big sis’ rode with the hubby.. twice!

Legoland Discovery Center also has a Miniland to showcase attractions in Arizona and it’s pretty impressive.

There’s also a LEGO 4D cinema, LEGO Racers Build and Test where you get to build cars and use the ramp to test your built racers, and LEGO City Play Zone that consists of climbing walls, slides, and a jungle gym.

Don’t forget the kids’ socks when taking them to Legoland Discovery Center. There’s also a cafeteria so whether parents want to snack while the kids are playing or just have lunch altogether and get back to playing, you’re covered. There’s even a Parents Lounge!

The toddler loved sliding at the LEGO Duplo House while big sis’ was at the jungle gym. My favorite though is the party room.

Legoland Discovery Center is not as big as a theme park but not as small as other jungle gyms. The size is perfect and packed with tons of fun for how inexpensive it is. An annual pass is only going for around $50. If we have one close by we’d go there every week.

Legoland Discovery Center Arizona is located at 5000 S Arizona Mills Cir #135, Tempe, AZ 85282.

It’s totally worth it to go whether you’re from Phoenix or just visiting Phoenix. It was hard for us to get the kids out though, good thing Sea Life Aquarium is next door so we told them we’re still visiting another place and they gave in.
