LEGO Festival at LEGOLAND: June 7 and 8

Just one more weekend to attend LEGO Festival at LEGOLAND! Make sure to visit this weekend, June 7 and 8 to enjoy both the theme park and the waterpark, and add in all the LEGO Festival activities to your visit, it’s included with park admission.

ABOUT LEGO FESTIVAL

LEGO Festival is an immersive event celebrating the art of play. You get to do LEGO-building activities, enjoy added shows, and try some yummy treats exclusively available only during the event.

INTERACTIVE ZONE

There are 5 interactive zones at the LEGO Festival spread throughout the park that you can visit:

  1. Dance Zone
  2. Game Zone
  3. Creative Zone
  4. Music Zone
  5. Chill Zone

Upon entering LEGOLAND theme park, you will receive a lanyard that holds activity cards. Visit each zone to participate in a LEGO building activity—from helping put a LEGO mosaic together, creating a backstage LEGO badge, helping build a city through the eyes of a kid, to making a LEGO Flower to go on the flower wall. My favorite was the mosaic and the flower wall while my daughter, who is the Master Builder in our house, really enjoyed adding her LEGO touches to build a city.

You can get a stamp after each build, and after collecting all 5 stamps, you can head to the Play Pact Hub for a Play Pact ceremony to collect your freebies (poster and sticker).

To make a Play Pact, raise your right hand—curved like a LEGO minifigure’s—and make a special promise to keep the spirit of play alive, even after you leave the park.

You can finish all the LEGO builds in an hour or two while the shows are available at various times throughout the day. I like the big seating area at the Music Zone where you can watch the Battle of the Bands while kids really enjoyed watching DJ GoodVibes at the Dance Zone and Adventure Peely at the Gaming Zone.

Besides enjoying the LEGO Festival activities, we also went on different rides, enjoyed the LEGOLAND water park for a few hours, and ate a lot.

The new Driving School (ride) is also in a new location with a new look as the old location will make way for the indoor coaster opening in 2026.

LEGO FESTIVAL EXCLUSIVE TREATS

Make sure to also purchase fun treats that are available only during the LEGO Festival. The pineapple limeade was perfect in between LEGO Builds:

  • Freeze & Flow – Cherry Icee layered with mango and lemonade flavors topper with colored popcorn and a dash of cherry Pop Rocks
  • Churro Bites – Dusted with cinnamon, colored sugar and sprinkles. Served in a food safe LEGO Head set.
  • Electric Popcorn – Robert Ferry Candy Popcorn featuring berry blue, banana bonanza, super strawberry, and apple candied popcorn. Served in Festival- branded popcorn bucket.
  • Pineapple Limeade – Pineapple & key lime juice, infused with butterly pea flower and a splash of grenadine and lychee boba

You can also decorate your own LEGO Minifigure Head Cookie at the Creative Zone (additional fee).

As part of your ticket, you can collect the souvenir lanyard, autograph cards from the LEGO Festival Band & Hopsy, a sticker, and a LEGO Festival poster.

There are also LEGO Festival products available for purchase. Make sure to visit The Big Shop during your trip to check them out.

We attended the LEGO Festival in California but it is available at the 3 US locations. The activities, shows, and treats may be a little different from each park, but I’m sure it’s just as fun.

Keep in mind that while LEGOLAND is primarily designed for kids ages 2 to 12, there’s no requirement to visit or join in the LEGO Festival activities. Our oldest, who practically grew up at LEGOLAND and is now a teenager, still had an amazing time participating in the building challenges. Honestly, don’t be surprised if she ends up working for LEGO one day—either designing sets or creating theme park attractions!

Our youngest, on the other hand, had just started riding roller coasters, so she spent most of her time riding the Technic Coaster ride at LEGOLAND during this visit.
