LEGO Photo Spots & Holiday Decor
Legoland decorates for the holidays! From the giant LEGO Christmas Tree at Fun Town to the holiday-themed entrance. Be sure to grab a family photo at one of two brick-taculator Christmas photo spots:
- Capture the brick-tastic magic of the holiday season at LEGOLAND with a picture starring our 35-foot LEGO® Christmas Tree built from 366,481 LEGO and DUPLO bricks!
- Grab the most AWESOME family photos in front of our larger-than-life LEGO wreath for a perfect Christmas card moment!

Holiday Characters
During your visit to Legoland California, you can meet holiday LEGO characters like LEGO Santa, Snowman, LEGO elves, and Gingerbread Guy for holiday hugs, pictures, and selfies.
- LEGO Santa – He’s in town and ready to take selfies for the best LEGOLAND Christmas card photo ever!
- Snowman – Bundle up and say cheese, there’s snow doubt about it that this frosty friend is bringing cheer to LEGOLAND.
- LEGO Elves – Say cheese for a silly “elfie” with elf friends Ivy & Frode!
- Gingerbread Guy – Stop by his house and ginger “snap” a photo with him and his friends, the elf bakers!
During our past visit, we were able to take pictures with LEGO Santa at Fun Town just below the LEGO Christmas Tree.
LEGO Sleigh and Reindeer (May not be available for 2025)
I’m not sure if they will still have the LEGO Sleigh and Reindeer this year but during our visit in previous years, you can hop on a sleigh with a life-size LEGO Santa that’s pulled by his trusted reindeer, also made of LEGO. I was going to take pictures of the girls on the sleigh when they hopped on the reindeer, luckily it didn’t break!

Seasonal Shows
Check out holiday shows throughout Legoland all season long! Download the Legoland App for showtimes.
- The Mint Marching Band – Clap along to the beat of Toy Soldier and the LEGOLAND Brass Band as they march through Legoland California.
- Once Upon a Brick-Mas – Pack your snow shoes and join Bagsy and Sweeps as they re-tell the story of the Wizard and the first snow of Castle Hill.

Holiday Treats
A visit to Legoland will not be complete without ordering their famous apple fries but try to also enjoy some holiday treats.
Legoland Rides
More than 60 rides are open during Holidays at Legoland for everyone to enjoy. Make sure to visit the newest area – LEGO Movie World in case you haven’t.
For our family, our favorite rides are LEGO Ninjago The Ride, Emmet’s Flying Adventure Ride, and LEGO Technic Coaster. Check out LEGOLAND Florida VS. LEGOLAND California in case you’ve only been to one and want to check the other.
Santa’s Christmas Magic Fireworks
The elves will light up the sky with their Christmas magic fireworks:
- December 6
- December 13
- Every day December 20-31
Legoland Holiday Shopping
Before leaving the theme park, I recommend visiting The BIG Shop for Christmas gift shopping at Legoland. From LEGO sets to the gingerbread man bubble wand (if they have it for 2025), which is a really cute stocking stuffer.
